  • Step into the Future: The Academy of Administrative and Legal Sciences Summarizes the Year

On December 11, 2024, the General Assembly of the NGO Academy of Administrative and Legal Sciences took place in Kyiv. This event was not only a summary of the year but also a significant step in the development of the scientific community. Strategic issues were discussed, and decisions were made that will shape the Academy’s activities for the coming years.

The meeting was attended by Andrii Ivanyshchuk, Director and co-founder of the Scientific Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law (SRIMSL). His participation highlights the importance of interdisciplinary interaction and coordination of scientific initiatives between the Academy and other research institutions.

Decisions That Shape the Future

The assembly began with an important announcement: the approval of the public institute “Academician-Partner.” This initiative opens new opportunities for collaboration, expert involvement, and the promotion of administrative and legal research.

Additionally, the Academy welcomed new members, including experienced scientists, professors, candidates, and doctors of science. They will play a key role in shaping new research directions and advancing legal education.

Honoring the Legacy of Outstanding Scholars

A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to commemorating deceased members of the Academy. Two honorary awards were established in the names of Academician Serhii Didenko and Corresponding Member Anatolii Dolhopolov. These awards will be presented annually for outstanding scientific achievements and research in the field of police-public cooperation.

Leadership and Scientific Support

The assembly unanimously re-elected Valentyn Halunko as President of the Academy. Halunko, who is also a co-founder of SRIMSL, continues to lead the Academy, fostering the development of administrative and legal sciences and integrating innovative research into law and public administration.

Among other key decisions, the assembly recommended publishing the fifth edition of the textbook “Administrative Law and Administrative Process,” which remains an essential resource in legal education.

Additionally, a new certificate format for professional achievements was approved, allowing scientists to document their contributions to research and education.

Science for Security

One of the most impactful decisions was the allocation of funding for defense technology projects. Funds collected in the Scientific Process Support Fund will be directed toward the design and testing of carrier rockets.

Conclusion

This assembly marked an important milestone in the history of the Academy. The adopted decisions set the course for its future, laying the groundwork for new scientific achievements and strengthening the international reputation of Ukrainian science.

Ahead lie new challenges, but the Academy is confidently moving forward!
