On June 30, 2025, a significant academic event took place at the Kyiv University of Intellectual Property and Law — the public defense of the dissertation by Volodymyr Pryhlad for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. The topic of the dissertation — “Public Administration of Air Transport in Ukraine” — proved to be not only relevant, but also strategically important for the modernization of the country’s transport policy.
The event was held in a warm yet highly professional atmosphere. The applicant impressed the academic community with thorough analytics, bold proposals for reforms in the field of air transport administration, and a clear vision of the future of public governance in the context of European integration.
Serving as an official opponent was the Director of the Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Andriy Ivanyshchuk, who in his speech emphasized the innovative nature of the applicant’s approaches and the high practical value of the work for public administration authorities.
The academic discussion that followed the presentation demonstrated strong interest in the topic among experts. Members of the one-time specialized academic council unanimously acknowledged the scientific novelty, logical structure, and practical significance of the presented research.
We sincerely congratulate the applicant on a brilliant defense and wish him continued academic and professional success! We are confident that his research will soon be reflected in state policy and regulatory frameworks in the field of aviation.
