Andrii Ivanyshchuk is a legal scholar, expert and experienced retired judge. His professional path spans over 25 years of practical experience in law enforcement, the judicial system, academic research, and teaching.
In 2021, he founded the Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law, aiming to conduct in-depth legal research, promote the development of legal regulation in shipping, maritime transportation, and space exploration, implement scientific inventions and research findings into practical applications, optimize business processes, and engage in educational activities.
He has over 15 years of teaching experience in educational and research institutions, including Kherson State University, Kherson Economic and Legal Institute, the National School of Judges of Ukraine, and Odesa State University of Internal Affairs. Throughout his teaching career, he has trained over 2,000 students and trainees, supervised research conducted by postgraduate students, and reviewed numerous dissertations, monographs, and academic publications.
His scientific work includes more than 70 research papers, including monographs, textbooks, and articles published in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. His contribution to the development of Ukrainian legislation is confirmed by his participation in drafting legislative proposals, including the idea of electing judges to administrative positions by judicial assemblies, which was recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2014.
Andrii Ivanyshchuk actively researches the digitalization of maritime law, issues of autonomous shipping, blockchain technologies in maritime document circulation, and cybersecurity in shipping. He has extensive experience in maritime arbitration, cargo insurance, and international freight operations.
Beyond his academic work, Andrii Ivanyshchuk is also a sculptor, the author of unique ceramic artworks that reflect his multifaceted nature and creative vision of the world.
His mission is to advance modern science, integrate Ukraine into the global legal system, and create conditions for innovation in science, education, business and law.
