The Scientific Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law (IMSL) has concluded a Cooperation Agreement with Kherson State University aimed at developing educational and scientific cooperation, expanding academic mobility, and ensuring the effective use of the scientific and intellectual potential of both institutions.

Parties to the Agreement

Kherson State University,
represented by the Rector
Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Spivakovskyi,
acting on the basis of the University Charter,

and

Scientific Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law,
represented by the Director
Andrii Anatoliiovych Ivanyshchuk,
acting on the basis of the Institute Charter.

Subject and Purpose of Cooperation

The Agreement provides for mutual cooperation between the Parties aimed at:

  • improving the quality of educational activities;
  • developing scientific, research, and methodological work;
  • expanding and deepening the content of educational and research programmes;
  • promoting academic mobility and professional development of participants in the educational process.

Key Areas of Cooperation

Within the framework of the Agreement, the Parties agreed to implement joint initiatives, including:

  • conducting joint scientific research, conferences, round tables, and academic seminars;
  • development and implementation of joint educational programmes and training courses;
  • internships and professional development of academic, research, and teaching staff, as well as postgraduate and doctoral students;
  • exchange of scientific and methodological materials and educational outputs;
  • joint academic supervision, consulting, and reviewing of qualification and master’s theses;
  • establishment of joint author teams for the preparation and publication of textbooks, teaching aids, and monographs.

Financial Terms

The Agreement does not provide for any financial obligations between the Parties.
Any financial matters arising in the course of cooperation shall be governed by separate agreements.

Term of the Agreement

The Agreement enters into force upon signing and is concluded for a five-year term.
Unless one of the Parties notifies the other of its intention to terminate the Agreement, it shall be automatically extended for the next five-year period.


This Agreement represents an important step in strengthening strategic partnerships between the Scientific Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law and leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, fostering closer integration of science, education, and practice.
