The Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law has concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Kherson State Maritime Academy with the aim of developing systematic scientific, educational, and expert interaction, consolidating intellectual resources, and strengthening the practical orientation of research activities.

Subject and Purpose of Cooperation
The Memorandum is aimed at institutional cooperation between the Parties in the fields of education, science, innovation, and expert-analytical activities, with the purpose of:
- integrating scientific, educational, and applied resources;
- improving the quality of scientific research and the educational process;
- developing expert, analytical, and legal activities;
- strengthening the practical component of professional training for maritime specialists.
Key Areas of Cooperation
Within the framework of the Memorandum, the Parties have agreed to implement joint initiatives, including:
- conducting fundamental and applied scientific research, as well as analytical and expert activities;
- joint preparation of expert opinions, analytical briefs, and legal positions at the request of public authorities, business entities, and civil society institutions;
- participation in expert councils, specialized academic boards, accreditation and attestation commissions;
- implementation of joint educational programs, courses, internships, and academic mobility schemes;
- organization of scientific and practical events: conferences, symposia, forums, round tables, and legal debates;
- joint preparation of scientific publications, textbooks, teaching and methodological materials, and monographs;
- participation in national and international grant programs and scientific platforms;
- conducting scientific expertise of legislative initiatives, regulatory acts, and draft governmental decisions.
Financial Terms
The Memorandum does not provide for any financial obligations between the Parties.
If necessary, financial matters related to specific projects or activities shall be regulated by separate agreements.
Term of the Memorandum
The Memorandum enters into force upon its signing by the Parties and is valid for a period of five years, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement.
This Memorandum forms part of the strategic partnership development policy of the Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law and is aimed at integrating science, education, and expert practice in the maritime and related fields of law.
