In accordance with the Order of the Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law dated 13 January 2026 No. 130126-1, Illia Heorhiiovych Burla has been appointed to the position of Senior Research Fellow of the Institute.
The appointment took effect on 14 January 2026. Illia Burla has been employed on a full-time basis as his primary place of work, with a salary determined in accordance with the approved staffing schedule of the Institute.
Illia Burla holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law and is the author of a dissertation devoted to the issues of public administration of housing construction in Ukraine. His academic interests focus on administrative and civil law, reform of urban planning legislation, digitalisation of permitting procedures, as well as the application of modern technologies in public administration.
The Institute considers this appointment an important step towards strengthening its research capacity and further developing interdisciplinary studies in the field of public administration, post-war recovery, and sustainable development of Ukraine.
