The Scientific Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law continues to strengthen its academic capacity and expand its team of experts.
By the order of Acting Director Artem Pedan, dated July 1, 2025, Dr. Anatolii Mykolaiovych Iskorostenskyi, a Doctor of Philosophy and an expert in currency law, has been appointed as a Research Fellow of the Institute.

Dr. Iskorostenskyi graduated from the Academy of the State Tax Service of Ukraine in 2002, obtaining a specialist degree in Law. From 1997 to 2002, he studied at the Academy and later devoted over a decade to teaching at the University of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, working as an assistant, senior lecturer, and associate professor at the Department of Financial and Administrative Law.
Between 2010 and 2014, he served as Deputy Head for Social and Humanitarian Affairs of the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn District State Administration, and from 2014 to 2018 pursued doctoral studies at the National University of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

His dissertation research focused on the legal regulation of currency relations in Ukraine, exploring issues of currency liberalization, the legal framework of the national currency system, and the mechanisms of state currency control.
Dr. Iskorostenskyi has published extensively in academic journals, particularly in the Scientific Bulletin of the National Academy of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, where he analyzed the theoretical and legal foundations of currency regulation and the evolution of Ukraine’s monetary policy in the context of European integration.

His appointment represents not only a recognition of his academic achievements but also a significant reinforcement of the Institute’s research capacity in financial and economic law, providing valuable insights for the development of international trade, maritime finance, and space-related economic relations.

“We are building a team that thinks strategically and works at the intersection of law, economics, and innovation. The appointment of Dr. Iskorostenskyi is an important step in that direction,” — said Acting Director of the Institute, Artem Pedan.
