Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law Strengthens Its Academic Team

The Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law continues to systematically enhance its expert capacity. A new research fellow, Ivan P. Holiachenko, has joined the Institute — a legal professional with a solid academic background and hands-on experience in public administration and enforcement of judgments.

Ivan Holiachenko obtained a full higher legal education at the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, earning a qualification in law. His academic interests lie at the intersection of public administration, institutional development, and the security dimensions of state policy. As the author of a dissertation entitled “Public Administration of the Institution of Military Chaplaincy in Ukraine,” he has demonstrated the ability to work with complex interdisciplinary legal frameworks and sensitive areas of public governance.

His professional background includes service within structural units of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine from 2013 to 2019, where he was directly involved in the implementation of state legal policy. Since 2019, Ivan Holiachenko has been active in the field of enforcement of judgments, which has provided him with an in-depth understanding of the practical application of law and the effectiveness of legal enforcement mechanisms.

The decision to join the Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law is driven by an awareness of the profound transformations currently shaping the maritime and space sectors: the growth of international trade, the expansion of commercial space projects, increasing geopolitical complexity, and the rising importance of international legal regulation. Under these conditions, specialists capable of combining rigorous academic analysis with a practical vision of legal processes are of particular strategic value.

The integration of Ivan Holiachenko into the Institute’s research programs is viewed as an investment in the Institute’s intellectual capital, an expansion of its analytical capabilities, and a strengthening of its expert potential in the field of maritime and space law.

The Research Institute of Maritime and Space Law welcomes its new colleague and looks forward to productive, results-driven cooperation aimed at advancing modern legal science and developing effective legal mechanisms on a global scale.
